The former managing director of CADwalk GmbH & Co. KG Heinrich Walk graduated at the University of Applied Science in Ulm 1978.

He was engaged in the development of electronic measurement equipment at the division of Experimental Surgery at the University of Ulm.

Between 1980 and 1986 he managed development projects of non-commercial analog HF-instruments at the University of Ulm.

1987-1995 Mr. Walk was head of the development department for semiconductor processing equipment at AST Elektronik GmbH in Ulm.
In 1993 he received the SEMI-Award Europe for his excellent achievement in the development of rapid thermal processing systems at AST Elektronk GmbH.
In 1994 he received the Yearly RTP Award from the 3rd International RTP Conference in Monterey CA.

In 1995 he
became independent and founded CADwalk, a engineerring office which is mainly involved in simulation for semiconductor equipment, semiconductor device, semiconductor process technology, as well as circuit simulation.

In 1998 he was contracted by ASYS GmbH + Co. KG in a consultative post for the development of new innovative cluster-handling-systems for the semiconductor and micro-system industry.

In 2010 the engineering office CADwalk were merged to CADwalk GmbH & Co. KG.


Since 2019 Heinrich Walk is retired and the new managing director is Michael Schäfer.
